Code of Conduct

The World Conference on Governance and Social Sciences (WCGSS) is dedicated to fostering an environment that is professional, inclusive, respectful, and conducive to scholarly exchange. All participants—including attendees, speakers, volunteers, organizers, and partners—are expected to adhere to the following Code of Conduct throughout the duration of the conference, whether participating in person or virtually.

WCGSS values freedom of expression and the open exchange of ideas, recognizing that robust debate is a cornerstone of academic life. However, such exchanges must be conducted in a manner that is respectful and free from intimidation, personal attacks, or discriminatory remarks. We encourage constructive dialogue that challenges ideas while respecting individuals.

Prohibited conduct includes, but is not limited to:

  • Harassment, intimidation, or threatening behavior in any form.
  • Discrimination based on race, ethnicity, nationality, gender identity or expression, religion, age, disability, sexual orientation, marital or parental status, physical appearance, or any other protected category.
  • Sexual harassment, including unwelcome sexual attention, physical or virtual stalking, uninvited physical contact, or inappropriate use of nudity/sexual images in presentations.
  • Acts of physical aggression, shouting, or disruption of conference sessions or activities.
  • Interference with presentations or unauthorized recording/replication of content, including digital chat activities.
  • Use of conference sessions for unauthorized commercial promotion, recruitment, or solicitation.
  • Participants are reminded that this Code of Conduct applies to all conference spaces, including plenary and parallel sessions, networking events, workshops, online discussion forums, and any related social activities.
